TikTokAt the hotel again and happened upon this completely unsafe situation (Lift controls)which is just waiting for little fingers to touch 😳 And then a lovely old fuse board looking particularly safe too 😂 #allcabling #electrician #electrics #safety #dangerous

TikTokBack at the hotel where a ‘maintenance’ guy is messing with electrics 😳 I keep telling them but no one is listening to me and letting him loose and calling me when it predictively goes wrong #allcabling #electrician #electrics #safety #modifications

TikTokHad to check another electrician’s EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) as he didn’t think a sub main needed checking 😳 Turns out the sub main runs about thirty metres and doesn’t have a fused isolation switch which obviously is dangerous and doesn’t comply and therefore can’t obtain a ‘Satisfactory’ outcome But the client doesn’t understand and isn’t listening to the explanation which is Very frustrating I truly love my job Here is there setup and then the correct way of doing it 😂 #allcabling #electrician #electrics #safety #dangerous

TikTokGetting geared up to rationalise two fuse boards into one with surge protection and mostly RCDO’s and a stand alone TPN surge protection kit for the incomer along with some other minor works to ensure the required ‘Satisfactory’ outcome after a recent EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) Just shut down the whole building to check/tighten where needed all connections and inspect for any thermal issues or problems as this hasn’t been checked for an estimated twelve years!!! #allcabling #electrician #electrics #safety #eicr

TikTokAn early Sunday evening emergency callout in Hove for a recessed down light which started crackling before a loud bang and puff of smoke 😳 A close call but luckily the Rcbo tripped and cut power to the ground floor lighting. The lamp had a catastrophic failure which blew the circuit and the dimmer module I’ll fully resolve this later in the week but for now I have the balance of the lights back on 👍 #allcabling #electrician #electrics #dangerous #safety
